Notes: State champ vs. state champ. Both comes out strong and Estrella-Beauchamp gets her nose bloodied in the first 15 seconds … scoreless first period and they slap hands at the end of it as if to acknowledge each other … It has definitely got a little tense in the arena for this one … Estrella-Beauchamp starts down in the second period and nearly gets out a minute in but Respicio twists her back down to the mat … Respicio rides out the round and it’s still scoreless … Respicio is being looked at before the third period starts … Respicio on bottom now … Sweet move as she spins around Estrella-Beauchamp and gets two points … Now Estrella-Beauchamp has to do something from the bottom … She escapes for one point with 45 seconds to go … She tries to make something happen but looks like she slips and Respicio with the two-point control … that should do it. Respicio wins 4-2. She gives Estrella-Beauchamp a hug … three-time state champ.
