Waiakea’s Kaley Saludares came from three shots back to pass first-round leader Shantel Antonio of Kamehameha-Hawaii and win the BIIF girls golf championship at the Club at Hokulia on Tuesday.
Sauludares shot a 9-over 81 in the second round to finish at 16-over 160, 3 shots clear of Antonio.
On the boys side, Waiakea’s Trevor Hirata fired a 68 on Tuesday to finish 17 shots ahead of second-place Shon Kitahira, who is Hirata’s Warriors teammate. Hirata also had a 68 in the first round at Hualalai on Sunday and wound up at 8-under 136.
