The Waialua Bulldogs have been on the road all football season so far.

But they’ll be playing at home soon. Earlier this season, newly planted grass on the Bulldogs’ field had yet to take a good enough hold. The grass is looking good now, according to athletic director Bryce Kaneshiro, and the school got two thumbs up from the Department of Education to play two home games.

This Friday, Waialua’s game against McKinley will be in Waialua instead of at the neutral Mililani High School site. Game time will be at 6 p.m. and not 5 p.m. as had been planned.

Also, Waialua’s game scheduled against Roosevelt at the netural Leilehua High School site on Oct. 6 has been moved back to Waialua. That game will also start at 6 p.m.
