Kaiser linebacker Parker Su‘a Higgins has received a football scholarship offer from UNLV this morning.
This is the first offer for Higgins. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news on its Facebook page.
The 6-foot, 215-pound senior was a staple of Kaiser’s tough defensive unit last season. The Cougars’ highlight may have been a 20-19 upset win over Kahuku, which went on to reach the Division I state semifinals.
The Rebels have been active in the islands of late. On Thursday, they made an offer to Su‘a Higgins’ teammate, offensive lineman Michael Eletise. On Feb. 27, UNLV offered to Saint Louis sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Kahuku seniors Salanoa-Alo Wily and Soli Afalava signed with the Rebels in early February.
