Hawaii’s best athletes on the gridiron continue to be recognized as among the best in the nation, as class of 2021 prospects Wynden Ho’ohuli and Mason Tufaga were named in the initial ESPN Junior 300 released Wednesday.
Ho’ohuli, who recently transferred from Saint Louis to Mililani, is ranked as the third-best inside linebacker in the nation and 144th best player overall.
Tufaga, who figures to see an increased role on the Crusaders’ defense this year, is ranked 159th overall and 13th-best at outside linebacker.
Saint Louis linebacker and Notre Dame commit Jordan Botelho is Hawaii’s top-ranked prospect in the 2020 ESPN 300 rated No. 181 overall and No. 13 at outside linebacker.
Mililani opens its season against Campbell on Aug. 9 while Saint Louis doesn’t play its first game until Aug. 15 at Kapolei.
The Crusaders and Trojans are set to meet on Sept. 27 at Aloha Stadium in a rematch of the 2018 HHSAA Open Division championship game.
