GAME NIGHT 8/13: Kalaheo/Waipahu

Six games are on tap Saturday night on Oahu while both St. Francis and Kamehameha hit the neighbor islands for nonleague contests.

Waipahu, which won only one game last season, can double its win total already this season with a victory over Kalaheo tonight at Aiea. QB Braden Amorozo threw for 316 yards in a win over Nanakuli last weekend which is the fourth-highest single-game total in school history.

9:28 p.m.: Alfred Failoga bashes in from a yard out, Waipahu leads 44-21 with just over a minute left.


9:09 p.m.:
And just like that Waipahu blows it open. Breden Natividad from two yards out, Waipahu leads 37-21 with 6:41 left. Give Kalaheo credit for pushing them.

9:06 p.m.: Waipahu scores on a safety, 30-21. Big points.

8:50 p.m.: Alika Hasing 29 pass from Amorozo, Waipahu back on top 28-21.


8:44 p.m.: Lehrner 1 run, Thulin-Marsh PAT. 2:17 third Q. Kalaheo leads 21-20.

8:25 p.m.: Messiah Bailey 1 yd run, kick failed, 9:14 left 3rd qtr. Waipahu up 20-14

8:13 p.m.: Jaden Bolmos hauls in a 25-yard pass from Lerner to tie it at 14 in the third quarter. We’ve got a ballgame.

7:55 p.m.: Kalaheo scores on a pass just before halftime, we are at the break.


7:10 p.m.: Amarozo does it again, plunging in from two yards out. Waipahu 14, Kalaheo 0 in the first quarter.

6:52 pm.: Waipahu runs through Kalaheo with ease on its first drive, TD pass from Braden Amarozo and ensuing kick make it 7-0 in the first quarter.
