Concussion workshop coming soon

The Hawaii Concussion Awareness and Management Program will be conducting a community concussion workshop July 13 at the Farrington High School auditorium. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public, but preregistration is required for those that need a certificate of attendance.

This is one of at least two concussion clinics that HCAMP provides each year.


The presenters include Dr. Benjamin Chun of Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Rachel Coel of the Queen’s Center for Sports Medicine, and Dr. Jennifer King of Kapiolani Orthopedic Associates. Topics to be discussed include concussion recognition, return to play protocol, concussion management, return to learn and heat illness.
