The Big Island Interscholastic Federation released its football schedule Tuesday, the last of Hawaii’s five leagues to do so.
The master schedule of all five leagues can be seen here. It’s still missing some nonleague games.
Seven of the BIIF’s 11 teams are slated to play one nonleague game each. One team — Kamehameha-Hawaii — has three nonleague contests scheduled. The Warriors will host ‘Iolani and Waiakea, and will visit Hilo.
Three other BIIF teams — Keaau, Pahoa and Ka’u — do not have preseason matchups scheduled, according to the released schedule.
There are six teams in BIIF D-I — Hilo, Honokaa, Keaau, Kealakehe, Konawaena and Waiakea, and five in D-II — Hawaii Prep, Kamehameha-Hawaii, Ka’u, Kohala and Pahoa.
One BIIF team will be traveling off island for its preseason game, when Honokaa visits the Garden Isle on Aug. 17 to play Waimea at Hanapepe Stadium.
On Aug. 23, Konawaena hosts Mission Viejo High (Mission Viejo, Calif.).

KS HAWAII playing DII against Pahoa, Ka’u, HPA, and Kohala is simply insane.
@The Rim
They will pay for it though. Their start QB/WR Kilohana Haasenritter is transferring to Hilo for senior season as he wants to prove his skills against D-I. While they were still D-II last year, BIIF scheduling made it so that all 11-man teams played against each other regardless of division. Starting this year, this is out of the story so serious recruits will more likely than not choose the D-I schools or opt to play on Oahu or the mainland.
They would be better off playing against the JV squads of Kona, Kealakehe, and Hilo.
Doesn’t matter, MOANALUA wins the D1 this year!
