4 from Hawaii ranked in Scout.com Top 300

The recruiting website Scout.com released its inaugural Top 300 rankings for the Class of 2015 and it featured four current juniors from local high schools.

Three of the four players listed are defensive ends, beginning with Punahou’s Canton Kaumatule, who is ranked No. 20 overall and third among all players at his position. Kaumatule, who opens his season Thursday night at Mililani, is listed at 6-feet-6, 260 pounds and has listed offers from Stanford, California, Mississippi, Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Washington. His older brother, Luke, is currently a sophomore at Stanford.

Not far behind him is Farrington’s Breiden Fehoko, who is ranked No. 53 overall. Fehoko, the youngest of the Fehoko family, has an older brother VJ, who is currently at Utah. At 6-3, 275 pounds, Fehoko is listed as running a 4.9 40-yard dash time and has listed offers from 15 different schools, including Alabama, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Utah and Wisconsin.


Saint Louis’ Fred Ulu-Perry is listed as a 4-star recruit and No. 206 overall. At 6-3, 275, Ulu-Perry is the No. 12 rated offensive guard in the group and lists offers from Hawaii and Washington State.


Rounding out the quartet from Hawaii is Kamehameha defensive end Mike Tafua, ranked No. 253 overall. Listed at 6-3, 210, Tafua, who is No. 30 among defensive ends, has already given his commitment to Brigham Young.
