Offer No. 10 is a big one for Punahou senior Marist Liufau.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound safety, who did everything on defense for the Buffanblu this season, announced tonight on Twitter that he has received a scholarship offer from Southern California.

Liufau becomes the seventh players from the Hawaii high school class of 2019 to receive double-digit scholarship offers. The Trojans join an offer sheet that includes Arizona, Boise State, Hawaii, Oregon, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.
Liufau was spectacular in a season-ending loss to Saint Louis on Saturday, finishing with seven tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery.
The Trojans have already received commitments from Liufau’s Buffanblu teammate, linebacker Maninoa Tufono, and Saint Louis defensive tackle Gino Quinones.
Liufau joins a list of players from Hawaii with at least 10 offers that includes Tufono, Saint Louis defensive tackle Faatui Tuitele (uncommitted), Kahuku offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi (uncommitted), Punahou offensive lineman Duke Clemens (UCLA), Kapolei offensive lineman Julius Buelow (Washington) and Kahuku linebacker Miki Ah You (Washington).

Liufau was the humble leader of the defense for the buff n blue this year.
Liufau and Shiraki was their top 2 defensive studs.
Which ever school that gets him will be getting a special student athlete.
Great job this year and good luck Marist!
This dude was the most impressive player on Punahou’s squad and he balled out all year long. He deserves it big time!
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR for the open! Stats don’t lie! Great Year Mr. Liufau
Defensive player of the year is already been decided (Faatui Tuitele). He’s a monster! When he’s on the field, St.Louis is unstoppable! He can dominate a game by himself and the only one in the whole state who can do that! He’s on a different level than everybody else!
I guess we can only wait and see. Both players, Tui and Marist are impactful team players.
Good luck to both of them.
