Like others who have completed the ILH slam over the years, Iolani’s KJ Pascua left no doubt.

Pascua won his fourth straight ILH title, this one at 170 pounds, by beating Kamehameha’s Chasyn Aipolani with a second round pin at Kamehameha on Thursday.

Pascua only wrestled two matches, winning his semifinal bout by pin after running out to a 10-0 lead.

Pascua is the first Iolani wrestler to complete the slam since Patrick Higa in 1986.

Pascua helped Iolani lead the way with five league champions, with Kainoa Torigoe, Jake Angelo, Kaysen Takenaka and Dane Yamashiro joining him.

It wasn’t enough to turn back host Kamehameha, though, which won the team title behind championships by Kysen Terukina, Matthew Perez, Amir Mirza and Brock Ai.

It is Kamehameha’s first ILH title since 2013.

Corey Cabanban of Saint Louis won his third ILH title, this one by technical fall. Pac-Five’s Lincoln Mussell won his second along with Takenaka and Yamashiro.
