It was smokin’ hot in Arizona last weekend, and the weather was a scorcher, too.
‘Iolani right-hander Zacary Tenn provided the heat at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. The junior brought a fastball timed at 87 mph to help TB SoCal, coached by Benny Bonilla and Ryan Thompson.
“My favorite highlight was just being able to pitch because back home, we haven’t had any games in a while,” said Tenn, who will also pitch in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic this weekend. “It was super refreshing to get on the mound again.”

“On the field, I enjoyed playing with some of my old California buddies that I played with in past tournaments. Off the field, I enjoyed hanging out in the pool after games because of the heat up here,” Tenn said, referring to 105-degree temperatures in Peoria, Ariz. “I haven’t gotten much college interest, so hopefully this tournament can help spark that.”
