Kamalani Dung, the reigning Mountain West Conference pitcher of the year who announced last week she was transferring out of Fresno State, tweeted Saturday night that she will enroll at California in Berkeley, Calif.

Dung, a 2015 Kamehameha alumna, went 26-15 with 218 strikeouts in 254 1/3 innings as a sophomore.
She wrote, “I am grateful and honored for the tremendous amount of offers and opportunities I’ve received, coming from some of the all-time best programs and top coaches in the nation. After long consideration, I finally decided to compete at the highest level athletically AND academically at the University of California Berkeley. #welcometothePAC #GoBears”
Cal finished 32-24 overall and 6-17 in the Pac-12 to qualify for the NCAA tournament, where they advanced to a regional final before losing to Auburn.
Good for Kamalani! Get out of Fresno, meth capital of the world. Now she goes to the Pac-12, fine athletic conference, world city of San Francisco, world class university. I seen her pitch in the 2017 NCAA regionals against Michigan. Michigan got like only 4 hits off her the entire game. But one was a HR. I think Michigan won that game 2-0. Fresno could get no offense out of their team.
This girl is a beast. Reppin Hawaii big time. Heard she had lots of full offers from all the power conferences and some big softball schools. Word is PAC 12 champ Arizona really wanted her and fully offered her too, she did a visit there. They would have had a great run for WCWS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS by getting her.
There Ghandi goes again complaining about Fresno. There is good and bad everywhere. Ghandi would be skipping for joy if he ever got any kind of offer, let alone from Fresno….
