Pac-Five breaks Kamehameha’s string
Three weeks ago, the Pac-Five cheerleading squad delt Kamehameha its first ILH loss since the sport began in 2000. On Friday night, the Wolfpack turned the trick on a bigger stage, beating the Warriors for the ILH championship.
Pac-Five, which draws athletes from 10 different schools, takes its momentum into Saturday’s state championships at the Blaisdell Arena. Kamehameha will be there to compete with them in the large divsion and try to retake its place at the top of the state. Kamehameha has won nine state titles in 12 years.
Punahou joins them on Saturday for its third-place finish at the ILH championships, but the Buffanblu will be competing in the medium division.
