Lahainaluna senior Kawehi Gillcoat, who placed in the top six at states three years in a row and is No. 7 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s pound-for-pound rankings, knocked off Mililani’s Elijah Diamond 20-11 in the 138-pound final. Seven ranked girls got it done Saturday at the 51st Garner Ivey Invitational wrestling tournament at War Memorial Gym in Wailuku, Maui. Three-time state champion Kelani Corbett of Leilehua captured the 168-pound division with a 14-4 victory in the final over Waianae’s Kaleinani Makuaole. It was redemption.
