Govs start playing ‘Farrington football’ to come back on Waianae

Farrington played a lackluster first half Friday against Waianae, so Governors coach Daniel Sanchez wanted his team to go back to playing “Farrington football” in the second half. Scuffling along through a difficult season, a proud Waianae football team rose up and took aim at knocking off No. 5 Campbell on Saturday night. Staggered early in the contest in Ewa Beach, the Seariders responded resoundingly and landed some big blows before bowing out 41-31. Instead, the Trojans marched to a 50-6 victory behind a stellar defense sparked by defensive end Tristen Townes (59). Quarterback Brendyn Agbayani fired three TD passes in the victory.
