So you think you’re so smart. Not you, necessarily. The above line is just a general saying that could be applied to many people (including you and me) who special education students call “regular” students or people. Haha, that’s a good one. The many faces of Emma Taylor

Hawaii Prep’s Emma Taylor stole the show at the Island Movers / HHSAA state track and field championships over the weekend, winning her fourth straight state title in the 100 hurdles and third consecutive crown in the 300 hurdles. She also placed second to Kaiser’s Kristen O’Handley in the 200 meters and ran a relay to lead Hawaii Prep to the team title. The hurdles victories moved Taylor past Prestine Foster for most ever in the state championships with seven. […]

Baldwin leads list of state track qualifiers

Baldwin has seven of the top qualifiers for this week’s Island Movers/HHSAA State Track and Field Championships. Anthony Kahoohanohano-Davis has the top mark in the long jump, triple jump and high jump. Bailey Kaopuiki has the top mark in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. The Bears also lead the list of qualifiers in the pole vault (Sean Fukuhara) and 4×100 relay. Baldwin last won state titles in 2012 and 2013. State track showcases special ed students

The state track meet is special to a lot of people every year, but for the second year in a row, it promises to be a grand time for Hawaii high school special education students. As it did last year, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association is partnering with Special Olympics Hawaii to incorporate what is called unified 4×400 and 4×100 races into the meet, which will be held Friday and Saturday at Kamehameha.
