Oregon State did its homework and made an offer to the 6-foot-5, 230-pound junior on Saturday, according to Kapolei coach Darren Hernandez. “Kukea has great potential. This is just the tip of the iceberg, for him,” Hernandez texted on Sunday. “I’m not surprised. His athleticism, length, frame and motor are big time. Maninoa Tufono of Punahou has a fourth football scholarship offer as of this morning. Nevada is the latest university to offer a scholarship to the 6-foot-3, 220-pound sophomore, joining Hawaii, Oregon and Washington State. Tufono posted the news on Twitter. The University of Hawaii has been busy recruiting on Tuesday. Kamehameha LB/DE prospect Jonah Welch announced on Twitter this morning that he had received a scholarship offer from Hawaii. Hours later, Punahou’s Maninoa Tufono announced the same.
