Kapolei defensive ends get D-I college offers

Two Kapolei defensive ends recently received Division I college football offers, according to Hurricanes coach Darren Hernandez. Kukea Emmsley, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior-to-be, got an offer from Air Force. Treven Ma’ae, a 6-4, 220-pound junior-to-be who had six sacks last season, received an offer from Navy. “They are probably the best pair of DE’s we’ve had in a while,” Hernandez texted on Sunday night. Punahou junior Stephen Barber, who is the likely replacement to Nick Kapule as starting quarterback for the Buffanblu next season, picked up his second Division I scholarship offer on Wednesday. Barber, who was first offered by Hawaii, picked up an offer from Navy and tweeted the news. Reardon: High school recruiting isn’t changing
