By Nick Abramo on July 21, 2017

The Moanalua football team has found three homes away from home for the upcoming football season, according to Na Menehune athletic director Joel Kawachi. The plans will still have to be approved by the Oahu Interscholastic Association to become official. The OIA will send out a new schedule when it does become official. Last week, the school found out that work being done on the school’s track and football field won’t be done until after the football season is over. […]

Moanalua field not ready; Waipahu delayed

By Nick Abramo on July 18, 2017

The Moanalua football team will not be playing home games this football season and will be practicing at local parks, according to a source close to the situation. Work on the school’s track and football field was supposed to be completed before the season starts, but has been continually delayed. Instead of home games, Moanalua will most likely play at the scheduled opponents’ home fields. A neutral site is also a possibility. The OIA is in the process of revising […]

Nerdpod: Receivers v4.0

By Paul Honda on October 20, 2016

NERDPOD: Receivers v4.0 Hawaii Prep World’s Paul Honda breaks down some of the best pass catchers in the state. The regular season has drawn its curtain across the islands, but I’ll be adding more pass catchers to this list until the playoffs and state tourney are done, and maybe past that, too. This week, five additions. Numbers are nice, but seeing how they reflect a player’s season is usually intriguing. Even players who don’t have statistics that scratch the ceiling […]
