Kamehameha OL Austyn Kauhi collects offers from Hawaii, Navy

Just one season of varsity football is doing wonders for Austyn Kauhi. The Kamehameha football player received a scholarship offer from Navy in February. On Thursday, Hawaii became the second program to make him an offer. Kauhi, at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, is just beginning to find his stride. “Coach (Jacob) Yoro called me up. The Seariders got a school-record 247 yards, plus two touchdowns, on a whopping 46 carries by sophomore Kolu Quisquirin-Sabagala. De’Zhaun Stribling did it all for Kapolei, scoring a touchdown passing, receiving and rushing in a 27-3 drubbing of No. 10 Kamehameha at the Hurricanes’ home field on Friday night.
