The Kalaheo Mustangs are starting to look like contenders. It’s not so much that their last two wins were shutouts, it’s more the way they’ve looked while doing it. Upgrades to the Kalaheo athletic field are ongoing, and the hope is for the school to host football games there eventually. The football team has never hosted a varsity game on campus and has been practicing off-campus the past two seasons while work has been going on. They started the season with 19 in uniform at Kamehameha-Maui and ended it with 20 suited up at Skippa Diaz Stadium on Friday night.
