Former Dixie State football coach Greg Croshaw is one of many applicants for the Kahuku football head coaching position, a trusted source close to Kahuku football said yesterday. Croshaw went 214-56-1 with Dixie State, before it moved from junior college to NCAA Division II. Darren Johnson, the former Kailua head coach and Kahuku assistant who is currently a Kapolei assistant confirmed he applied for the job as well, and another source said Asai Gilman is another candidate for the position. Kahuku has formed a selection committee that has begun reviewing applications for the football head coach job, according to athletic director Gillian Yamagata. Due to a confidentiality policy, Yamagata confirmed that the school could not release a list of applicants or candidates who applied before Friday’s deadline.
