Kahuku’s Hirkley Latu enjoyed his official visit to Oregon State last week, according to his father, Peni Latu. Latu is being recruited as a hybrid linebacker/strong safety, Peni Latu said. Hirkley has official visits lined up to Utah State this week and BYU next week. Kahuku’s historic defensive season in 2015 apparently has not gone unnoticed by major Division I college football coaches. Red Raiders cornerback Kekaula Kaniho and defensive lineman Aliki Vimahi picked up scholarship offers from Colorado on Monday night. Both Kahuku juniors posted the news on their Twitter accounts. Kaniho, a 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back, scored his first Division I offer while Vimahi, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end, also holds offers from Brigham Young and Oregon State.
