Vimahi, Tuitele commit to All-American Bowl

Kahuku offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi and Saint Louis defensive lineman Faatui Tuitele have been invited and are committed to playing in the All-American Bowl in January 2019. The game used to be called the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, but it is now being sponsored by American Family Insurance and run by an organization called All American Games. Sol-Jay Maiava’s stepdad posted on Instagram on Sunday night that he and his wife and stepson, Kahuku quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava, are visiting Washington, D.C., so Sol-Jay can look into playing football there for his upcoming junior season. Makoa Freitas, Reggie Torres and Siuaki Livai are among the applicants and interviewees for the open Kahuku football coaching job, according to sources. At least 16 people applied for the job, a list that also includes Kahuku junior varsity head coach Sterling Carvalho, Red Raiders assistant David Te’o and former Kahuku assistant Marvin Cravens.
