Leilehua wins a battle of up-tempo offenses

By Jason Kaneshiro on August 17, 2013

For a while, the tempo in Saturday’s matchup between Leilehua and ‘Iolani rivaled that of the just-completed NCAA Summer League basketball at Manoa Gym. The fast-break styles of both teams produced a combined 91 points and 828 yards of total offense, and ‘Iolani coach Wendell Look summed up Leilehua’s 56-35 season-opening win with an extension of the hoops analogy. “They got a couple breakaways and dunked on our head,” he said. Leilehua scored three touchdowns on plays of more than […]

Sure, Mililani used both its quarterbacks when coach Rod York has pledged that he will choose one to be the starter when games start […]

I won’t be surprised if we have some cases of cramps and dehydration out there. 4:14 p.m. […]

By Billy Hull on August 9, 2013

The 50th anniversary of ‘Iolani’s Father Bray Classic is Saturday night at Aloha Stadium, featuring the Raiders hosting Kalani in the nightcap. Football was the toughest championship to win, as ‘Iolani started the season with a 7-2 loss to Farrington. Two games […]
