With concerns over the outbreak of the coronavirus shutting down collegiate athletics over the last 24 hours, the first prep sporting event has been canceled for the same reasons. The ILH will not hold judo tournaments scheduled for Friday and Saturday according to Hawaii Baptist athletic director Deren Oshiro. “As a precaution due to the nature of the sport,” Oshiro said. Moanalua, Kamehameha-Maui and Kamehameha-Hawaii won the various divisions in the HHSAA esports championships Saturday. Moanalua defeated Punahou 2-0 in League of Legends, and Kamehameha-Maui topped Maui 4-2 in Rocket League. In the Smite championship final, Kamehameha-Hawaii defeated Farrington 2-1. The event was held in-person at the HPU Esports Arena at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
