Punahou gets kills from six different players and the Buffanblu beat Huntington Beach 25-15 in the first set of the championship match. The Oilers not getting the calls, and it is frustrating them, but the Buffanblu have them scrambling every time they hit the ball over the net. Punahou beat Mira Costa 25-20 in the first set of a match pitting powers from Hawaii and California. The set was close throughout until Remo Gaogao took over with three straight kills to turn a 21-20 advantage to 24-20. Marissa Behrens provided the capper with a kill from the middle. Boys Keoni Tom-Millare, Pac-Five: The senior wide receiver-turned-running back-turned-quarterback amassed 383 yards in an 18-16 win over Damien. Raiders 9th at Durango

‘Iolani did better than expected at the Durango Fall Classic over the weekend. The Raiders were seeded 27th in the Silver Division, but wound up much higher at ninth after posting wins over Clovis (Calif.), Horizon (Ariz.), Great Oak (Calif.), Mira Costa (Calif.), Jackson (Wash.) and Liberty (Calif.).
