Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Farrington played well — Billy Hull says it was the best he’d seen the Governors play this season — while Kahuku seemed a bit out of sync early. Adora Anae, their big hitter, came off the bench midway through the opening set, but Kahuku didn’t find its rhythm until the second game. From there, the Lady Raiders took control and advanced to the second round.

The Mililani girls volleyball team has earned the respect of voters in the Star-Advertiser Top 10, who have moved the Trojans up to No. 4 in this week’s poll due out Tuesday morning. The Kamehameha girls volleyball team is still unbeaten locally, but dropped one spot to No. 11 in the CBS Maxpreps Xcellent 25 Volleyball Rankings released on Wednesday. Kamehameha (24-1 overall) dropped behind Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) but is ahead of Horizon (Ariz.), a team it beat in the Durango Classic recently. The top team is Mercy (Kent.). Here’s the poll. 1. CBS MaxPreps Xcellent 25 Volleyball Rankings has lifted Kamehameha from No. 11 to No. 10 in the latest voting. Kamehameha, listed with a 22-1 overall record, is among the top 10 teams in the poll for the first time this fall.
