Who is it going to be? Moanalua? Mililani? Most likely neither. Both OIA programs have a chance to knock off an ILH power in tonight’s semifinals of the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball State Championships on the Kamehameha-Hawaii campus. Moanalua plays top seed Kamehameha while OIA champ Mililani takes on Punahou. Kamehameha 8th in national rankings

The Kamehameha Warriors remained at No. 8 in the Student Sports Fab 50 girls volleyball rankings after edging Punahou to capture the ILH championship last week. Kamehameha had been ranked as high as fifth before losing to the Buffanblu in the second round of ILH play. Punahou was at No. 14 before falling to Kamehameha in five sets and is now at No. 30. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 (post match) Sweep or not, Moanalua played fairly well on this night. Mililani was simply superb in every facet of the game. Dynamic back row. All-around play from Jordyn Keamo. Coach Val Crabbe called it the best match of the season for middle Sarah Liva. The win made OIA Red champions of the Mililani Trojans.
