Three-sport athlete Faaope Laloulu, who excels on the football field as a 6-foot-7, 340-pound offensive lineman, announced his college commitment to the University of Oregon on Saturday on social media. A vigil for Vince Manuwai will be held on Sunday at Farrington High School. EDIT: The family decided Wednesday evening to move the service to Sunday. The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Skippa Diaz Stadium. The former Farrington and Hawaii standout lineman played eight seasons in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Manuwai died on Saturday. He was 38.
