By Paul Honda on October 9, 2013

The list keeps growing for Farrington junior Breiden Fehoko. Louisville and Vanderbilt became the latest universities to offer the 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive tackle scholarships. Fehoko and fellow defensive lineman Motu Heimuli helped the Governors defeat Kahuku 21-7 on Thursday to claim the top seed in the OIA Red East. Fehoko has a 4.0 grade-point average.

Farrington wins despite fumble-itis

By Paul Honda on October 8, 2013

It was near-perfect execution in all phases for Farrington for a half against Kahuku. In their OIA Red East showdown with No. 5 Kahuku, the underdog Governors led 14-0 in the third quarter when the pigskin became difficult to grasp. They fumbled three times, but lost the ball just once. On an apparent fourth fumble, by quarterback Montana Liana after taking a hit from the Red Raiders, Kahuku recovered. Video: #5 Kahuku vs. Farrington

By Paul Honda on October 7, 2013

How else do you explain such intensity for two teams when one is (or was) unranked and the other is having a less-than-perfect season so far? It doesn’t matter what has happened before these teams meet. Fans on one […]

By Jerry Campany on October 4, 2013

Farrington’s Breiden Fehoko vs. Kahuku’s Keala Mapuhi The third installment of Trench Warfare looks like a mismatch. On one side, Farrington’s Breiden Fehoko holds court among his teammates, getting them pumped up for the clash. On the other, Kahuku’s Keala Mapuhi quietly goes about his preparations. This matchup looks very much like Akebono vs. Konishiki, with Fehoko’s athleticism packed into a 6-foot-3, 280-pound package trying to maneuver around Mapuhi’s 300-plus pounds on a 6-foot frame. Fehoko, a junior, is one […]
