Damien will be taking its first mainland football trip since well before Eddie Klaneski became the head coach in 2011. Damien will play Mt. Spokane in Mead, Wash., on Aug. 31. Division I in the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships will have a hard time matching the excitement provided by Division II on Friday night. Marcus Faufata-Pedrina conceded he’ll probably be a bit sore when he reports for Damien’s customary Saturday practice following a Friday game.
