  Radford takes it back The Radford cheerleading squad regained the OIA championship it lost to Mililani last year, beating the Trojans at the league’s title competition on Saturday at Kalani. The Rams, who won four straight OIA titles from 2006-2009, scored 348.5 to outlast Moanlua (347) and Kaiser (305). Those three will join Mililani, Castle, Pearl City, Kailua, McKinley and Leilehua at Saturday’s state championships at the Blaisdell Arena.   Pac-Five breaks Kamehameha’s string Three weeks ago, the Pac-Five cheerleading squad delt Kamehameha its first ILH loss since the sport began in 2000. On Friday night, the Wolfpack turned the trick on a bigger stage, beating the Warriors for the ILH championship. Pac-Five, which draws athletes from 10 different schools, takes its momentum into Saturday’s state championships at the Blaisdell Arena. For the first time, Damien is co-ed. Economic downturn. Declining enrollment? Whatever the reason, Damien has female students for the first time, and as a result, the school has its own cheerleaders. Here are the recommendations from the athletic directors’ conference on Kauai. The conference began on Thursday, ended Saturday and resulted in the following approved proposals. The event was held on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at the University of Hawaii’s Stan Sheriff Arena.
