Gonzales, Robinson out as Mililani coaches

Mililani boys basketball coach Edward Gonzales and boys and girls wrestling coach John Robinson will not return next season, according to Trojans athletic director Glenn Nitta. Gonzales led Mililani to the Division I state tournament in 2010, ’11, ’13 and ’14. Nitta will be hiring replacements for the positions. The deadline for applications is June 19. Brennan, Masani are ULS’s athletes of year

Pac-Five wide receiver Tsubasa Brennan was picked as University Laboratory School’s male athlete of the year, athletic director Jim Bukes announced Saturday. Basketball and volleyball player Markayisha Masani was chosen as the Junior Rainbows’ female athlete of the year. The school’s athletic award winners for 2014-15 are listed below. Pearl City picked wrestler and judoka Maui Lee and Garette Kanamu as its male athletes of the year and cross country and track athlete Kailee Eli as its female athlete of the year, Chargers athletic director Reid Shigemasa announced this week. Maggiolino hired as 1 of ‘Iolani’s athletic directors

‘Iolani hired Maurice Maggiolino as one of three athletic directors, the school announced Monday morning. He will step into his new role on July 1, the day after the retirement of Carl Schroers, who spent 37 years in the position. Eddie Maruyama and Wendell Look are the other ‘Iolani ADs.
