The Kalani Falcons have landed at No. 10 in the Star-Advertiser Girls Basketball Top 10. Coach Chi Mok’s squad is on a six-game win streak and eked out Mid-Pacific by one point for the 10 spot in the voting by coaches and media. The Maryknoll Spartans finished 3-1 with a consolation title at the Tarkanian Classic today in Las Vegas. Maryknoll defeated Gillette (Wyo.) 53-50 today for ninth place. Spartans center Isabella Cravens and wing Kamalu Kamakawiwo‘ole were selected to the all-tournament team. The Spartans, ranked No. 1 in the Star-Advertiser Girls Basketball Top 10, opened the tournament with a heartbreaking 49-47 overtime loss to Post Falls (Idaho).
