Rodney Figueroa‘s three-year stint as the Maui High football coach is over. Sabers athletic director Michael Ban said the school is looking to go in a different direction. Figueroa went 11-19 overall and 9-15 in the MIL in three seasons at the helm. Open Division semifinals set for Nov. 22

No. 1-ranked Saint Louis will host OIA runner-up Mililani in the semifinal round of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships on Nov. 22. Saint Louis (10-0) is the three-time Open Division defending champion. OIA champion Kahuku will meet the OIA’s third-place team, Campbell, in the other semifinal. Kahuku-Campbell will kick off at 4 p.m. The winners will meet for the title on Nov. 29, also a Friday.
