Tua Tagovailoa to attend Polynesian Bowl, serve as honorary captain

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who announced Monday he will forego his final year of eligibility at Alabama and enter the 2020 NFL Draft, will serve as one of two honorary captains and attend the 2020 Polynesian Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Aloha Stadium. 9 Hawaii football teams crack MaxPreps Top 1,000

Nine Hawaii football teams finished in the Top 1,000 spots in the MaxPreps national computer rankings in 2019. Hawaii Open Division state champion Saint Louis ended at No. 9, followed by Punahou (No. 35), Kahuku (No. 73), Mililani (No. 113), Division I state champ Hilo (No. 321), Campbell (No. 416), ‘Iolani (No. 709), D-II state champ Lahainaluna (No. 943) and Kamahemaha (No. 986). Polynesian Bowl to host showcase for seniors/juniors on Jan. 12

All current high school seniors and juniors are invited to attend the third annual Polynesian Bowl Hawaii Junior & Senior Football Showcase & Combine on Jan. 12 at Kamehameha’s Kunuiakea Stadium. Coaches from Division II, Division III, NAIA and junior colleges will be on hand to evaluate student-athletes looking for collegiate opportunities.
