On this day in 1975, Oshita appeared to be well on his way with a 3-2 win over Kalani. Perhaps nobody told McKinley’s Martin Borja that baseball games are not supposed to go 25 innings. On this date in 1967, Kamehameha beat McKinley 9-7 in 25 innings at Honolulu Stadium. Borja pitched 24 2/3 innings in the six hour, 12-minute affair only to lose. He faced more than 100 batters in the game, allowing 14 hits and walking 11.
