The long, hot and dusty road is done for the ‘Iolani Raiders. The No. 1 team in the Star-Advertiser Softball Top 10 went 4-1 in Arizona at the Hamilton tournament, beating two ranked teams and losing to another. The Raiders defeated Basha, ranked fourth in Arizona, 1-0, and No. 25 Pinnacle, 11-0. The Raiders’ lone loss was the host Hamilton, ranked No. 8 in Arizona, 8-7. The roller coaster ride of ILH baseball was merciful for the Kamehameha Warriors. Despite a stunning loss to No. 7 Maryknoll, the Warriors remain atop the Star-Advertiser Baseball Top 10 on Monday. Kamehameha (10-1, 6-1 ILH) collected seven of 14 first-place votes from coaches and media. Kamehameha scooped up seven of nine first-place votes to the No. 1 ranking away from Saint Louis in the Star-Advertiser Baseball Top 10 on Monday. The Warriors edged Saint Louis, 6-5, on Tuesday, then defeated Damien, 10-4, and Punahou, 8-4, to remain unbeaten.
