Le Jardin wins its first ILH girls volleyball title

Despite winning its first state championship last season, Le Jardin had never won an ILH title in girls volleyball. Failauga carries Waipahu to OIA D-II title game

Waipahu’s Alfred Failauga turned in a super-human performance Friday against Roosevelt. When it was all over, Failauga reminded his coach that he is, after all, human. Moanalua receiver Ezra Grace felt bad for making a mistake on an apparent touchdown pass that was called back late in the game Friday against Radford. He more than made up for it on the next play. Kalaheo’s Justus Neufeldt moved from quarterback to running back for Friday’s game against Waialua because his coach wanted to better utilize his athletic ability. The switch paid off big-time.
