Mililani’s defense helped the Trojans earn a shot at retaining the OIA Division I girls soccer title for a third straight year. Kaile Halvorsen, one of Oahu’s most dynamic scorers, helped power Kaiser into its first league championship game since 2014. Missy Moore had barely caught her breath after Kamehameha’s shootout victory over ‘Iolani to clinch a state tournament berth on Friday when the Warriors coach addressed the new format to the ILH girls soccer season. “It’s a lot more stressful,” Moore said as the Warriors’ celebrated a return to states after missing the tournament last year. Team Kado hosts showcase at Mid-Pacific

Team Kado Baseball’s series of winter camps opens Thursday with a high school “training, combine and competition camp” at Mid-Pacific Institute. MPI graduate Donny Kadokawa said Tuesday about 20 spots remain for the showcase targeted at providing high school age players with exposure and instruction.  The cost is $175 per player. The sessions are scheduled for 2-6 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday. Kadokawa said youth and middle school camps scheduled for next week are sold out. […]
