Trainers to educate at Kapiolani Park run

In a world where so many high school student-athletes and college students show a deep interest in becoming athletic trainers, this event at Kapiolani Park on Sunday might be the place to be.

The event is part of National Athletic Training Month. The Oahu Interscholastic Association of Athletic Trainers will provide service on Sunday for trainers who will run or walk around the park for 6.7 hours in relay fashion to honor the 67th anniversary of the National Athletic Trainers Association.

An athletic training station will be set up for participants, and also to provide educational information to visitors.
