ILH champion St. Francis ticked another box on its list of accomplishments.
The Saints drew the top seed in the Division II portion of the HHSAA Girls Basketball state championships, the first time in the history of the program they have been seeded.
St. Francis has been in the last five tournaments, but hasn’t reached the final since 2005.
The Saints are followed by fellow champions KS-Hawaii (second), Roosevelt (third) and Kauai (fourth).
Those teams have the benefit of waiting until Thursday to play.
The first round is all on Oahu this year, with Seabury Hall meeting Honokaa at 5 p.m. on Wednesday with Castle and University to follow for the right to meet St. Francis.
On the other side of the bracket, Pearl City and Hawaii Baptist meet at 5 p.m. down the road at Kalani for the right to meet Roosevelt on the same floor on Thursday.
Waipahu and Le Jardin play the second game at Kalani on Wednesday with KS-Hawaii awaiting them.
The semifinals are Friday at Kaimuki with the title game scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the Blaisdell.
