The Honolulu Advertiser ILH all-star team in 1952 featured three players who made it on both offense and defense — Punahou’s Donn Carswell, Roosevelt’s Henry George and Kamehameha’s Dan Fuller.
Carswell and George were the only repeat selections form the previous season.
ILH champion Kamehameha led the way with seven selections, including defensive end Alex Kane.
Kane made it on both offense and defense for the Honoulu Star-Bulletin, which selected nine Warriors to its first team.
ILH runner-up Punahou got six selections and McKinley, Roosevelt and Kaimuki tied with three.
Waialua, which won the Rural Oahu high school league, put seven on the Advertiser’s All-Rural team. Only Waialua and Waipahu had players on the first team by the Advertiser.
Leilehua’s Pedro Roylo and Robert Maruyama made the Star-Bulletin squad.
