The annual Cover2 awards presented each year by KHON’s Cover2: Hawaii High School Football Weekly television show were announced tonight.
Saint Louis quarterback Chevan Cordeiro joined previous winners Vavae Malepeai of Mililani and Tua Tagovailoa of Saint Louis as the Marcus Mariota Award winner. Named after the current Tennessee Titans quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner at Oregon, the Marcus Mariota Award honors the state player of the year. The winner is selected by a special panel and the Mariota family, based on on-field performance, productivity in the classroom, and impact on the community.

Coach of the Year: Cal Lee, Saint Louis

Olin Kreutz Award (Lineman of the year): Faatui Tuitele, Jr, Saint Louis

Herman Wedemeyer Award (Two-way player of the year): Pokii Adkins-Kupukaa, Soph, Campbell
