Saint Louis coach Cal Lee and director of athletic programs and development June Jones both confirmed that they are looking for new ways to schedule games in the future if an OIA and ILH merger doesn’t happen.
This season, the Crusaders, Punahou and Kamehameha will compete in a three-team ILH Division I league and play each other at least twice and up to as many as five times including the state tournament.
As Lee told the Star-Advertiser’s Dave Reardon, “a three-team league isn’t good for anyone.”
Saint Louis will host two mainland teams in 2017 and had another on the schedule but couldn’t get out of its opening league game in the ILH scheduled for the same weekend.
Today’s column in the Star-Advertiser from Reardon takes a look at what the Division I schools in the ILH are looking at moving forward. Could they bolt to form a league of their own with teams from the mainland?

Interesting article… Funny how we were just talking about this on another article’s comment section
They should get 88 aka anywaaays aka too meke aka good story to get involved. He has all the answers and would fix this immediately.
Disclaimer: this is only for football and has nothing to do with academics.
HHSAA should set mandatory 60 man rosters for football statewide. Then the talent will eventually spread out and FB will be equally competitive again.
@BK
what would that do for schools like Campbell who has over 3 thousand students?
