State champion ‘Iolani swept the ILH girls soccer awards that were announced recently. Senior Kylee Kim-Bustillos was named the offensive most valuable player and classmate Kawaiuluhonua Scanlan was named the defensive MVP. Kristin Masunaga was named the coach of the year. How is the first team goalie from a team that allowed 34 goals and the second team goalie from a team that gave up 4?
@flabbergasted…Pretty sure ‘Iolani only gave up 5 goals the entire season, so not sure where you are getting 34 goals from…
I guess you haven’t seen the SHA girl play. She’s a beast. Didn’t get much help from her defense. Awarding her first team gives the other picks legitimacy, that the ILH doesn’t pick from the best teams. Those Midpac girls were ballers too.
