The regular season begins to wind down Friday night with the OIA Division I playoffs set to begin next week.
No. 1 Kahuku returns to the site of its last regular season loss in the OIA. The Red Raiders (6-1, 6-0 Blue) have clinched the top seed out of the Blue division, a first-round bye in the OIA playoffs and a berth in the state tournament, but have some unfinished business with Kaiser (2-5, 1-5). The Cougars pulled off one of the biggest upsets ever in Hawaii high school football when they defeated Kahuku 20-19 two years ago at Kaiser Stadium.

What’s up with the Kahuku haka this year? Are they doing it in the locker room before the game? Are they saving the on-field haka for the state championship game only and the resulting 15 yard penalty?
#5 Pesa Lefau stole the show in the on-field haka vs St Louis last year. Breaking ranks and coming to the front to stare down Cal Lee.
One of the biggest upsets ever? That was the year Kahuku didn’t even make the state football tournament.
Mahatma Ghandi
You Ding dong. They did make it to the state tournament and lost in the semis to Punahou.
Good to see them practicing the pass game, we trust in these coaches that they are prepping for the post season title run. RR4L we in it 4Life. 30,000 strong loyal fans! community pride!
Ah-hoy is still in at Saftey because his sub at that position is Kaniho. Kaniho is not playing due to an injury. His Younger brother who is his sub is starting in his place. The only other DB they got is KJ Macatiag and he had to start at RB because the 2 senior RBs were out with injury.
And Stokes explains why Kesi is still in the game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg4p4mjUB1Q). Why make a comment like that (Kesi still in the game in 4thQ) if you don’t know the facts?
the injury bug maybe kahukus worst enemy and the oia playoffs are a beast to get through because of the physicality. les go boys do your thang! RR4L
