Slightly behind schedule but it’s awesome nonetheless.
PUN offense vs. KAH defense
Buffanblu fairly conservative, first play is a dive for little gain. Third and 1, long pass is caught out of bounds. Great dive for that.
KAH #10 and #21 virtually untouched for sacks. Sorry no rosters for scrimmages. I’ll track back later for IDs.
PUN punt snap dribbles but scrimmages mean no serious heat on special teams.
KAH offense vs. FARR defense
Very conservative by KAH, but they complete a third and 14 pass deep right sideline. Well done. Driving into th red zone. Some flags early.
Red Raiders smash mouth to pay dirt. #34 powers in from the 1, touchdown Big Red. PAT kick wide left.
FARR offense vs. PUN defense
Govs in three- and four-wide sets but not getting separation yet. PUN getting penetration. Sack by Miki Suguturanga, then a TFL on a run. No sign of Govs superback Challen Faamatau.
Govs throw into traffic, deflection and pick-6 by PUN.
PUN offense vs. FARR defense
Long TD pass roughly 65 yards by the Buffanblu.
PUN still on offense, driving past midfield and its a 40-yard TD corner pass to Ethan Takeyama. Looked like a perfect wheel route.
KAH offense vs. PUN defense
KAH jumps. Inc pass. Information, run right, reverses field no gain. PUN D-line has the edge so far.
Red Raiders muscling downfield. Inside the red zone. #42 scores on a short dive play. Methodical drive. Effective.
FARR offense vs. KAH defense
I stand corrected. Faamatau is playing, wearing a #1. A different number. Kahuku has him bottled up.
Halftime*
Teams take a 10-minute break. Nice and cool in the press box. 88 degrees outside and around 70 inside.
PUN offense vs. KAH defense
Sean route catch and run to the 4-yard line, gain of 76 yards. Then a TD strike to Takeyama. Big blue machine.
They still have the ball, run twice, then a bomb to #37 for about 40 yards. Fourth and goal from around the 16, Takeyama with his third TD grab. Again solo coverage near the corner.
KAH offense vs. FARR defense
Ultra conservative, backups everywhere. FARR #37 with a nice pick on a deep sideline pass.
Healthy QBs mean more standard offensive formations this season for the defending state champions.
Kahuku drives to the 20, but fumbles and Farrington recovers. Not bad in the aerial game.
FARR offense vs. PUN defense
Govs drive and score on a short run. If be surprised if there’s still a player who hasn’t seen action.
PUN offense vs. FARR defense
Two big gains throght the air including a TD pass. Video camera diving me problems with data load. No video. Gaaaaaaaahhh!! Punahou’s offense is overloading my camera. That’s the second TD I couldn’t get fully.
Another PUN drive and another TD pass by their reserves against FARR reserves.
KAH offense vs. PUN defense
Nice sideline pass deep for a first down. Starting QB is back in. Nice arm strength and touch. Hitting that deep route will be huge for them this season. Now a smooth option pitch for about 25 yards. That was the first option pitch I’ve seen today.
They run a similar play to the other side and the QB flips a forward lateral from behind the line of scrimmage (it appears)
to a WR planted next to the sideline. Flag on the play.
Pass interference on Punahou one play kater and then KAH scores on a run off right tackle by #8, who looks a lot like Kesi Ah-Hoy.
PUN offense vs. KAH defense
Looks like a really young group for Punahou and they’re slinging the ball downfield with success. Injury time out. O-lineman is down.
Long pass to #23 moves the ball to the 4. Then option pitch right to #34 for a TD as he barrels over a tackler.
All pau. It’s 12 noon and that’s it. These three teams got their work in during these 2 hours and 15 minutes. Now coaches can sit down later today and scout their own guys on video and see who really executes and who doesn’t. The tape don’t lie.
Sounds like more of the same from these 3 teams. Poor Farrington never gonna get over the hump.
It’s only a scrimmage
87 go grind 88! Lmao
My bad Bro! It’s gonna be interesting!
#8 is Harmon Brown….. Kesi #26 on D
Punahous receivers look awesome. Kahuku o line could use some more pass pro looks in the scrimmages
Farrington is low on numbers this year.
3 GOOD TEAMS!!!
